We seek a recent graduate to join our team for a one-year paid placement to help us produce opportunities for more people to get involved in our work.
You will work closely with our Marketing & Communications Manager to create communications to attract and grow audiences for our festival in February 2019. You will assist our Senior Producer and neighbourhood partners to help connect with local people through our long-term project Bristol Produces: People – Art – Places, and other festival events.
This role will develop your skills in communication, research, project administration, multitasking and cultivate attributes such as diplomacy and creativity.
A dedicated mentor and inclusion in a training programme will give you access to a peer network, training and an international trip.
This role is offered as part of the Weston Jerwood Creative Bursaries Programme that aims to encourage recent graduates from low-income backgrounds to start a career in the arts.
You must meet all three criteria to be eligible to apply:
- Have graduated from a first degree (BA or equivalent) in any subject within the past two years (i.e. in 2015, 2016 or 2017). No minimum grade required.
- Have received a full maintenance grant during the full period of your course and be able to verify it with the necessary paperwork.
- Be a full-time UK resident.
